So I have been messing around with MECCHA CHAMELEON for a couple of weeks now, and honestly it is one of the strangest little time killers I have picked up recently. It is a casual arcade game where you play as a chameleon that has to blend into the background and survive as long as possible. The whole thing is a pure mobile game, so you will not find it on Steam, Xbox, or Switch. It launched quietly on Android through Google Play and has been sitting in the low install range, nowhere near the big arcade hits. The good news is that it is free to download and install, and I have not run into any in app ads or purchase prompts during my time with it. That alone makes it worth a look if you are tired of games shoving storefronts in your face.

The way you play is simple. You move your chameleon around, match your color to the environment, and try not to get spotted by whatever is hunting you. It gets tense fast because the moment you break cover, everything goes wrong. My favorite part is that little panic moment when you flick your color and pray the predator walks past you.
