Big Walk is the latest thing from House House, the studio behind Untitled Goose Game, and it is basically a cooperative walking and talking game about getting lost with your friends. It is not a shooter, not a battle royale, just a bunch of pals wandering around a big open island trying to stick together. Right now it is built for PC and it also showed up on console storefronts like the PlayStation Store, so it is not a pure mobile game at all. That is worth saying clearly because a lot of people search for the name of the game on android and expect to find it on google play. You will not find an official download there, and anything claiming to be the app is fake. There is no confirmed release date yet, so no install count and no price to report, and House House has not said anything about in game purchase or in app ads. My guess is it will be a one time purchase like their last game, but that is just a guess.

How you play is simple on paper. You and up to three friends pick characters, grab a walkie talkie style voice tool, and hike across a huge island with no map markers holding your hand. You talk, you argue about which path to take, you get separated, and you find each other again. The best part for me is the communication puzzle. The walkie talkies have a range limit, so when someone wanders too far the voice cuts out and you genuinely panic a little. That is the whole game in one moment, and it is my favorite thing about it. It turns something as boring as walking into a real social test, and nobody else is really doing that right now.

Compared to similar games, this sits next to stuff like Journey, Death Stranding, and the co-op chaos of Pico Park. Journey is beautiful but you barely talk. Death Stranding is walking, sure, but it is heavy and stressful. Big Walk keeps it light and funny, and the friend group dynamic is what sells it. I would tell you to watch for it rather than rush to download something off google play that does not exist. If you like games where the fun comes from other people rather than from leveling up, this is the one to keep an eye on.

Features

Voice that cuts out based on distance 📻 - Your walkie talkie only reaches so far, so splitting up actually matters and you feel it immediately.
A giant island with zero hand holding 🗺️ - No quest arrows, no minimap shouting at you, just landmarks and your own bad sense of direction.
Four player co-op where nobody is the main character 👥 - Everyone has the same tools, so the group has to sort things out by talking, not by following a leader.

Pros

Co-op that is actually about talking 🗣️ - Unlike Pico Park, where the chaos is about reflexes, Big Walk makes conversation the actual mechanic and that is rare.
Great sense of humor 🎭 - House House proved with Untitled Goose Game that they can be funny without being loud, and the tone here feels warm instead of goofy.
Low stress, high stories 🌿 - Like Journey, you come away with a story about the trip rather than a stat screen, and those stick with you longer.

Cons

Not on android yet 📵 - Anyone searching google play for an install will find nothing official, which is going to frustrate a lot of mobile players.
No release date announced ⏳ - Hard to get excited about a download when you cannot actually plan around it.
Needs friends to work 👤 - Solo play is not really the point, so if your group is busy it just sits there, unlike Death Stranding which you can grind alone.
