Seekers Notes: Hidden Objects is a hidden object puzzle adventure game developed by Mytona. I first came across it while scrolling through the Google Play Store on my Android phone, and honestly, it has stayed on my home screen ever since. You can download and install it for free on both Android and iOS through Google Play and the App Store. It is a pure mobile game, so there is no PC or console version on Steam, Xbox, or Switch, which makes sense because the tap and find gameplay feels built for touchscreens. The app has millions of installs worldwide, and when I checked, it was sitting above the 50 million download mark. It is free to download and play, but there are in app purchases. You can buy crystals, energy, and event bundles. A small pack usually costs a couple of dollars, while bigger bundles can go up to around 20 to 50 dollars. There are also optional ads you can watch for small rewards, but they never felt forced on me.

You play as the Seeker, a person who arrives in a mysterious town called Darkwood. Each scene asks you to find hidden objects inside cluttered pictures, and then you use those items to complete quests, repair buildings, and push the story forward. The best part for me is how the hidden object scenes keep changing. Some ask you to find items by name, others by silhouette, and some make you hunt for pairs or specific shapes. It never feels like the same tired list over and over. My favorite part is the event schedule. There is almost always something happening, whether it is a holiday event or a mini quest with a new character. I also like that you can play short sessions. I often open the app during a coffee break, clear two or three scenes, and still feel like I made progress.

Compared with similar games like Hidden City and June's Journey, Seekers Notes feels more generous with story content and regular updates. Hidden City has a similar creepy town vibe, and June's Journey has beautiful scenes, but I stuck with Seekers Notes because the energy system rarely blocks me for long and the events give me a reason to come back daily. If you enjoy hidden object games with a dark mystery setting and you want something you can play on your phone without spending much, this one is easy to recommend. Just be ready to grind a little during big events if you do not want to pay.

Features

  • Massive hidden object variety 🔍 The game mixes word lists, silhouettes, pairs, and shape matching, so each scene feels fresh instead of repetitive.
  • Constant live events 🎉 There is almost always a timed event running, which gives you limited time quests, new scenes, and exclusive rewards.
  • Darkwood story and characters 🏚️ The town has a spooky but charming atmosphere, and the characters actually talk to you and react to your progress.
  • Easy on mobile 📱 The app is built for Android and iOS touchscreens, so finding objects feels natural and you can play in short bursts.

Pros

  • Frequent updates 🔄 Mytona keeps adding new chapters, events, and collections, so the game does not feel abandoned like some older hidden object apps.
  • Generous free play 🎁 Compared with Hidden City, I earn enough energy and crystals through normal play to keep going without paying every day.
  • Strong atmosphere 🌙 The art, music, and Darkwood setting pull you in more than the plain scenes in some other hidden object games.
  • Collection and achievement system 🏆 Collecting items and finishing sets gives long term goals, which is something June's Journey also does well, but here it feels more tied to the story.

Cons

  • Energy limits ⏳ You run out of energy quickly during heavy play sessions, and waiting for it to refill can slow you down unless you pay or watch ads.
  • Event pressure 😵 Some events are very grindy and almost require spending crystals if you want the top prize, which can feel unfair compared with more relaxed games.
  • Repetitive quests 🔁 After a while, some tasks repeat the same pattern of find items, craft, and wait, so it can feel like a chore during longer sessions.
  • In app purchase push 💸 The store is always visible, and the best bundles are expensive, which might annoy players who prefer a fully free hidden object game.
